Day Six - Final Day of Attack Phase

Breakfast: coffee, skim milk, splenda

Lunch: smoked salmon, 2 x hard boiled eggs, FF yogurt, Pepsi max

Dinner: salmon patties baked in the oven with oat bran "breading"

Snack: vanilla milkshake

Day Five

Breakfast: 1 x Rush 97% FF and reduced sugar coffee drink

Lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 packet of deli turkey, handul of salami slices

Snack: FF yogurt

Dinner: quiche with reduced fat cottage cheese, 6 eggs, lots of Tabasco and parsley

Snack: FF reduced sugar custard

Good progress so far! I have lost 7 lbs and Dan has lost 2 KG.

I'm trying to find more info on the cruise phase now. I know we can add select veggies, but what about more condiments, sour creams, etc?

We haven't been doing our exercise very well at all. The first couple days were good but work has been too hectic and the commute too long to have any time leftover at night.

Day Four

I'm going grocery shopping tonight to look for a few more options. I want to buy some plain FF vanilla yogurt and the oat bran so that I can make a milkshake as an evening treat.

Dinner time isn't so bad, it's the lack of items to take for lunch that's killing me. I can only eat so much meat! Eggs are on the menu later this week...

I've had a bit of an upset stomach the last few days. I'm not sure if that is from the diet or from our last 'real' meal at Indian. I've woken up in the middle of the night with stomach pains which I am hoping stops once I start eating veggies again.

Breakfast: coffee, skim milk, splenda

Lunch: 1 x FF yogurt, 1/2 packet smoked salmon

Dinner: Butterflied lamb seasoned with lemon and thyme

Snack: milkshake with vanilla FF yogurt, skim milk, 1 tsp cocoa powder, splenda

Day Three

I was really hungry today. From what I've read, you aren't supposed to be hungry on this diet so I'm not eating enough. However, I find it's hard to find easy things to snack on. Will work on finding a few more easy options. I have read a few recipes for a chocolate mousse that I might try this weekend.

Breakfast: 2 x coffees, skim milk, splenda

Morning Tea: Good to Go yogurt in banana (this was really good but I think the sugar is too high)

Lunch: 1 x packet of deli 97% FF ham

Snack: 1/4 packet of smoked salmon

Dinner: pork meatballs with 1/4 onion, vinergar, chili, garlic and oyster sauce

Drinks: 1.5L water, 1 x Pepsi Max

Day Two

Breakfast: coffee, skim milk, splenda

Morning Tea: 1 x Good to Go yogurt

Lunch: tinned tuna in springwater, 1 pack of deli chicken, 1 FF yogurt with fruit

Dinner: 1 piece salmon sashimi with soy sauce and wasabi, 1 piece salmon in ginger, garlic and chili sauce

Snack: FF yogurt

Drinks: 2L water

Day One

Hello!

Welcome to our blog, we are Annie and Dan and today is day one of the Dukan diet. I've started this blog for us so that we can't back out of the diet even if it gets tough. And I'm sure it will. I love bread and potatoes and can hardly resist a glass of cold champagne. Dan could take or leave the bread but definitely not the champagne!

We are going to do five days of the attack phase, more for ease of planning meals during the week rather than following the rules. I suppose I should state right now that we have not read the book and are not affiliated with the official website in any way. So if you've found this blog and want to follow the diet 100% accurately, you should probably keep looking. The information on the internet regarding this diet is varied to say the least, so we are trying to be quite strict while still being realistic.

According to the website my attack phase should be two days and my cruise phase 42 days, ending on November 11 with my target weight of 114 pounds. (actually wanted to reach 110 lbs so we'll see how I do) I still have the consolidation phase after this for 60 days, ending on January 21.

Dan's attack phase is three days with the cruise phase lasting 69 days to get to his true weight of 70.1KG on December 21. His consolidation phase lasts 99 days which takes Dan to March 29.

Day one:

Annie's weight:127 pounds (57kg)

Dan's weight: 176 pounds (80kg)

Menu:

Breakfast: coffee with skim milk and splenda, 1 x good to go yogurt

Lunch: cooked chicken (Dan also had two soft boiled eggs)

Dinner: scallops wrapped in prosciutto, tossed in garlic and grilled

Drinks: water, 1 x pepsi max, tonic water for Dan
